About Me

My journey started in a small Illinois town where the cornfields met my backyard. When my family moved to Fort Worth, I cried because I thought I’d have to ride a horse to school. Many years later, I’ve still never ridden a horse, but I’ve learned to appreciate Texas.

I originally started this blog as a survival outlet during pharmacy school. I moved to a new state (Oklahoma) and school was hard. It helped me cope and I’ve made it through to my graduation. Not only did I get my PharmD, but I also continued on to get my PhD as well.

Despite the professional titles, my ADHD brain still likes to wander. I’ve realized that while a large part of my identity comes from being a pharmacist and a researcher who loves deep-diving into data, I need a space for the rest of me. This blog is my return to sharing the “off-label” parts of my life: the pet projects, the hyper-fixations of the week, and the hobbies that keep things interesting.

So, here I am, coming back to my roots to share the beautiful, messy, data-driven, and scatter-brained journey of my life.

As to why I originally started this blog, check out my very first post, “How I Got Here“.
